Family, friends, neighbors and supporters,
I can't say "thank you" enough to all the people who put their trust in me. I am forever grateful to each and everyone of you. Even though I came up short in my bid for elected office, I promise to continue to stay active, visible and an advocate for the betterment of our community.
I would like to congratulate Councilman Myron B. Cook and wish him all the best as he continues to work and represent the people of Ward C as well as the rest of the people of East Point.
Now is the time to come together and work towards the common good to help solve some of the toughest issues facing our city. I strongly encourage you to continue to stay involved, informed and engaged in our democratic process.
All the best
Hello friends and neighbors,
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Kenneth DeLeon and I want to be your next elected official to represent Ward C in the great City of East Point.
Just as you do, I love and care about East Point and want to move our city toward the future we all deserve. East Point's past financial troubles have been haunting and dogging us for too long. I have put my name on the ballot because I care about our community and want a better East Point.
I will work as a team member with Mayor and Council to set progressive, efficient and productive policies to address our needs. I will use my business, professional and personal experiences, so that together we accomplish the progressive goals set to solve many of the issues facing our city. I will do my very best to provide oversight of our city government staff and work to help solve the issues important to the people of East Point.
I have spoken with many East Point residents and one thing is loud and clear, the voters of this city want "less fighting and more fixing!" They want to see us roll up our sleeves, listen to their concerns and work towards a future we all deserve.
The things residents want to help make East Point a better place to live, work and play;
Jobs, jobs and more jobs through smart economical development
A higher level of public safety and lower crime
Yes to team work and working together for the good of our city
Affordable and fair utilities rates along with and courteous, efficient service
Help fill vacant business properties and homes to help generate needed revenue for the city
- Clean neighborhoods and well maintained gateways and rights-of-ways
Improved roads, sidewalks, parks, after school activities and green space
With your help, trust and your vote on Tuesday, November 8th, 2011, I will make every effort to keep you, the voters of this great city, at the center of everything I do while on council.
"Be the change that you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
